Prof. Ir. Tole Sutikno, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPM., ASEAN Eng., is a Full Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD), Yogyakarta, Indonesia. He has been a faculty member at UAD since 2001, contributing extensively to both undergraduate and graduate programs. From 2016 to 2021, he served as Director of the Institute of Publishing and Scientific Publication, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening UAD’s reputation in academic publishing. He later served as Head of the Undergraduate Program in Electrical Engineering (2022–2023) and, since 2023, has held the position of Head of the Master Program of Electrical Engineering. In addition, he leads the Embedded Systems and Power Electronics Research Group (ESPERG), which advances research in power electronics, motor drives, renewable energy, FPGA applications, embedded systems, robotics, automation, and intelligent control systems.

Prof. Tole earned his B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering from Universitas Diponegoro, Semarang (1999), his M.Eng. in Electrical Engineering from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta (2004), and his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (2016). His academic journey reflects a strong commitment to interdisciplinary research, innovation, and the advancement of knowledge in electrical engineering and informatics.

He has authored hundreds of publications in reputable international journals and conferences, many indexed in Scopus and IEEE Xplore. His dedication to scholarly communication is further demonstrated through his editorial leadership. He serves as Editor‑in‑Chief and Managing Editor of several Scopus/ScimagoJR‑indexed journals, including the Bulletin of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (BEEI), the International Journal of Advances in Applied Sciences, and the IAES International Journal of Artificial Intelligence (IJ-AI). He is also Editor‑in‑Chief of TELKOMNIKA (Telecommunication Computing Electronics and Control) and the International Journal of Electrical and Computer Engineering (IJECE).

Prof. Tole’s global impact has been consistently recognized by Stanford University and Elsevier BV, which have ranked him among the Top 2% Most Influential Scientists in the World in both single‑year and career‑long categories since 2021 to the present. This prestigious recognition, based on Scopus citation data and standardized metrics across 22 scientific fields and 174 subfields, highlights the breadth and depth of his scholarly contributions. His inclusion in this elite group underscores his sustained productivity, continuing relevance, and influence in advancing electrical engineering research worldwide. Beyond personal achievement, his consistent presence in the global ranking strengthens Indonesia’s visibility in the international academic community, inspires fellow researchers, and elevates the reputation of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan as a hub for impactful scientific research.

EECSI 2026 Venue

Yogyakarta (Javanese: ꦔꦪꦺꦴꦒꦾꦏꦂꦠ), officially a Special Region in Indonesia, is the capital of the Yogyakarta Sultanate and the cultural heart of Java, where tradition and modern life blend under the symbolic rule of the Sultan. As the only Indonesian royal city still governed by a monarchy, it preserves Javanese heritage through the Kraton and classical arts such as batik, gamelan, wayang kulit, ballet, literature, poetry, silversmithing, and visual arts.

Known as the “City of Students,” Yogyakarta hosts a large student population and many universities, including Universitas Ahmad Dahlan and Universitas Gadjah Mada, the nation’s largest and most prestigious. Historically, Yogyakarta served as Indonesia’s capital from 1946 to 1948 during the National Revolution, while its Kota district was once the seat of the Mataram Sultanate. Its proximity to UNESCO World Heritage sites like Borobudur Temple—the world’s largest Buddhist temple—and Prambanan, a grand Hindu temple complex, strengthens its global tourism appeal, alongside attractions such as Malioboro Street and the signature dish gudeg. With about 375,699 residents in 2023 and a metropolitan area of over 4 million, Yogyakarta also records Indonesia’s highest Human Development Index (0.887), making it a vibrant center of education, culture, and spirituality.
