Pascal Lorenz (lorenz@ieee.org) received his M.Sc. (1990) and Ph.D. (1994) from the University of Nancy, France. Between 1990 and 1995 he was a research engineer at WorldFIP Europe and at Alcatel-Alsthom. He is a professor at the University of Haute-Alsace, France, since 1995. His research interests include QoS, wireless networks and high-speed networks. He is the author/co-author of 3 books, 3 patents and 200 international publications in referred journals and conferences. He was Technical Editor of the IEEE Communications Magazine Editorial Board (2000-2006), IEEE Networks Magazine since (2015-2020), IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology since 2017, IEEE Internet of Things Journal since 2024, Chair of IEEE ComSoc France (2020-2024), Financial chair of IEEE France (2017-2022), Chair of Vertical Issues in Communication Systems Technical Committee Cluster (2008-2009), Chair of the Communications Systems Integration and Modeling Technical Committee (2003-2009), Chair of the Communications Software Technical Committee (2008-2010) and Chair of the Technical Committee on Information Infrastructure and Networking (2016-2017), Chair of IEEE/ComSoc Satellite and Space Communications Technical (2022-2023), IEEE R8 Finance Committee (2022-2026), IEEE R8 Conference Coordination Committee (2023). Prof. Ir. Tole Sutikno, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPM., ASEAN Eng., is a Full Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD), Yogyakarta, Indonesia. He has been a faculty member at UAD since 2001, contributing extensively to both undergraduate and graduate programs. From 2016 to 2021, he served as Director of the Institute of Publishing and Scientific Publication, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening UAD’s reputation in academic publishing. He later served as Head of the Undergraduate Program in Electrical Engineering (2022–2023) and, since 2023, has held the position of Head of the Master Program of Electrical Engineering. In addition, he leads the Embedded Systems and Power Electronics Research Group (ESPERG), which advances research in power electronics, motor drives, renewable energy, FPGA applications, embedded systems, robotics, automation, and intelligent control systems.
Prof. Tole earned his B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering from Universitas Diponegoro, Semarang (1999), his M.Eng. in Electrical Engineering from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta (2004), and his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (2016). His academic journey reflects a strong commitment to interdisciplinary research, innovation, and the advancement of knowledge in electrical engineering and informatics.
He has authored hundreds of publications in reputable international journals and conferences, many indexed in Scopus and IEEE Xplore. His dedication to scholarly communication is further demonstrated through his editorial leadership. He serves as Editor‑in‑Chief and Managing Editor of several Scopus/ScimagoJR‑indexed journals, including the Bulletin of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (BEEI), the International Journal of Advances in Applied Sciences, and the IAES International Journal of Artificial Intelligence (IJ-AI). He is also Editor‑in‑Chief of TELKOMNIKA (Telecommunication Computing Electronics and Control) and the International Journal of Electrical and Computer Engineering (IJECE).
Prof. Tole’s global impact has been consistently recognized by Stanford University and Elsevier BV, which have ranked him among the Top 2% Most Influential Scientists in the World in both single‑year and career‑long categories since 2021 to the present. This prestigious recognition, based on Scopus citation data and standardized metrics across 22 scientific fields and 174 subfields, highlights the breadth and depth of his scholarly contributions. His inclusion in this elite group underscores his sustained productivity, continuing relevance, and influence in advancing electrical engineering research worldwide.
